Rovate Lotion

Overview

Introduction

Rovate Lotion belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used for treatment of skin disorders such as dermatitis and psoriasis. It relieves swelling, itching, and redness of the skin by suppressing the release of substances that cause inflammation.

Rovate Lotion is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area and apply it thinly and evenly over the area. You should not use it too often and more than what your doctor has prescribed. Avoid covering the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages, as this may increase the risk of side effects.

The most common side effects of this medicine include burning sensation or irritation at the site of application, itching, and rash. These are usually temporary and improve with time. However, if they persist or get worse you should let your doctor know. Before using the medicine, consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
