Uses

Cefalexin is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

How it works

Cefalexin is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria by attacking their cell wall. Specifically, it prevents the synthesis of a substance in the cell wall called peptidoglycan, which provides the cell wall with the strength required for survival of bacteria in human body.

How it works

Bromhexine belongs to the class of medications called as expectorants/mucolytic agents. It acts by thinning the mucus which facilitates expectoration and eases cough.

An allergic reaction may include rash, itching, difficulty in breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue
• Do not start or continue the cephalexin capsules and consult your doctor if you experience diarrhea; symptoms include pain, fever and inflammation of the large intestine
• Do not start or continue the cephalexin capsules and consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you are taking vitamin supplements, do not take them for 2 hours before or after taking this drug.
