How to use Relent Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Relent Tablet works

Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Hello doctor , my son used to get cough n cold often since he was a baby. our child specialist mostly specify relent plus ,2.5 ml per dose , n for 3-5 days. But since the age of 4 , he often pees in his pants, he gets rashes after bath, he gets stomach upset often n ends up vomitting , viral fever . Currently he's in u.k.g n he gets peed in his pants without his knowledge. I went to homeopathy doctor and now he is very much better , almost recovered. I am afraid his side effects are due to relent plus . And today I have given him a spoon (5 ml) of relent since he coughed more and severe nose block unable to sleep.
