Give Raylactum Kid Tablet either with or without food but it is best to give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.

Raylactum Kid Tablet can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects should ideally subside on their own. But, in case these side effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor without a delay.

Tell your child’s doctor if your child has had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction. Knowledge of your child’s medical history will help the dose make dose alterations and plan your child’s overall treatment.

Raylactum Kid Tablet is a medicine that effectively treats a wide range of bacterial infections, especially the ones which are suspected to be caused due to resistant bacteria. These infections may include otitis media (ear infection), rhinosinusitis (sinus infection), tonsillitis (infection of tonsils), dental abscess (tooth infection), pneumonia (lung infection), cellulitis (skin infection), and urinary tract infections. The presence of probiotics reduces the chance of side effects like stomach upset or diarrhea associated with prolonged intake of antibiotics.

Usually, children start to feel better within 2-3 days of regular dosing. Make sure to finish the recommended course of the medicine as stopping the medicine abruptly may lead to ineffective treatment or may even worsen your child’s condition.

Together, they eradicate your infection effectively. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Quick tips

Complete the entire course of antibiotics without stopping the medicine in between. Doing so may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.

No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Raylactum Kid Tablet.

Is it safe to give Raylactum Kid Tablet to children suffering from jaundice?

It is advised not to give Raylactum Kid Tablet to children if they have jaundice. The reason being, Raylactum Kid Tablet contains an active ingredient called cloxacillin which can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child.
