Mefenamic Acid(NA)


It is used to treat joint pain (arthritis), headache (migraine), dental pain and pain during periods (dysmenorrhoea). It is also used to reduce fever in various infections.

How it works

Mefenamic acid belongs to the class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by stopping the body's production of a substance (prostaglandins) that causes pain, fever, and inflammation.

Tizanidine is used to treat rigidity of muscles (spasticity) associated with various brain and nerve disorders (like cerebral palsy, meningitis, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, cerebrovascular accidents), diseases of the spinal cord, other injuries which affect the brain and other parts of nervous system in adults.

How it works

Tizanidine belongs to group of medicines called centrally acting muscle relaxants. It acts by blocking the nerve impulses which excites the muscles reducing their tone. As a result, the muscle relaxes and there is reduction of pain and spasms.
