Ocupol DX Eye Ointment

Ocupol DX Eye Ointment is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the prescribed dose and duration. Apply it only to the affected eyes. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The medicine should not be stopped suddenly without a doctor's consultation.

It is generally safe, but it may sometimes cause discomfort, irritation, and burning sensation in the eyes.  These effects are mild and go away in some time. However, if these effects persist, you should consult the doctor immediately.

• Treatment of Bacterial eye infections

• You have been prescribed Ocupol DX Eye Ointment for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye.
• Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
• Do not use Ocupol DX Eye Ointment for more than the prescribed duration as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection. 
• Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination.
• Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
• Throw away any medicine left at the end of the 5 day course.
