Product introduction
Ocupol D Eye Drop is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the prescribed dose and duration. Apply it only to the affected eyes. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The medicine should not be stopped suddenly without a doctor's consultation.
It is generally safe, but it may sometimes cause discomfort, irritation, and burning sensation in the eyes. These effects are mild and go away in some time. However, if these effects persist, you should consult the doctor immediately.

How Ocupol D Eye Drop works
Ocupol D Eye Drop is a combination of two antibiotics (Chloramphenicol, Polymyxin B) and a steroid (Dexamethasone). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth. Together, they treat your eye infection effectively. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

Wash your hands before using Ocupol D Eye Drop to avoid contamination, and do not touch the tip of the dropper. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this medicine. For using this medicine, tilt your head back, look up, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch and then put Ocupol D Eye Drop (drop or ointment).
