Sodium Fluoride(20mg)


Nunaf tablet is used as a mineral supplement for preventing tooth decay (dental caries) and maintaining strong teeth especially in areas where amount of fluoride in the drinking water supply is too low.

How it works

Nunaf tablet belongs to class of medications called as mineral supplements.  It is an inorganic salt of fluoride that works by strengthening the teeth and reducing the effects of acid and bacteria on the teeth thereby making the teeth resistant to decay.

Expert advice for NUNAF

  • Do not use sodium fluoride in areas where drinking water has a fluoride content greater than 0.6 parts per million (ppm).
  • Do not use sodium fluoride in children less than 6 months old and exercise caution in children < 6 years.
  • Do not consume any dairy products 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking sodium fluoride.
  • Do not take antacids consisting aluminum, calcium and magnesium for few hours after you take sodium fluoride.
  • Inform your dentist if you or your child’s teeth develop stains or spots, as these may be signs of dental fluorosis.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience rash, hives, itching, difficulty in breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if patient is allergic to sodium fluoride or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not give to Infants less then 6 months.
