Nosyfed-Fast Tablet is a medicine used to treat common cold symptoms. It provides relief from allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It also blocks the release of certain chemical that cause pain and inflammation and relieves aches and fever associated with cold.
Nosyfed-Fast Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose, a high dose, or overdose may have harmful effects on the body. Prolong use of this medicine may harm your health, do not take it more than the prescribed duration unless your doctor advised you to do so.
It may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, and diarrhea in some patients. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you. Inform your doctor immediately if any rash or allergic reaction is observed while taking this medicine. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medicines.
Note: As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nosyfed-Fast Tablet is banned for children under 12 years of age.

How to use Nosyfed-Fast Tablet

How Nosyfed-Fast Tablet works
Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Caffeine is a stimulant which works by blocking the action of certain natural substances (adenosine and phosphodiesterase).

Breast feeding

Nosyfed-Fast Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
Driving

Kidney
CAUTION
Nosyfed-Fast Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Liver

What if you forget to take Nosyfed-Fast Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Nosyfed-Fast Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
