Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nimodip 30 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Nimodip 30 mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It blocks the action of calcium on the blood vessel of the brain. This prevents changes in brain function after bleeding around the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage).

You have been prescribed Nimodip 30 mg Tablet to improve your blood pressure and/or to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks.
Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & stroke.
- It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Nimodip 30 mg Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
Nimodip Tablet related warnings
Taking Nimodipine with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Nimodip 30 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Nimodip 30 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Nimodip 30 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nimodip 30 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Nimodip 30 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
