How to use Myoside Plus Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Myoside Plus 4mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.
How Myoside Plus Tablet works
Myoside Plus 4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Thiocolchicoside and Diclofenac which relieve muscle pain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Myoside Plus Tablet related warnings
Taking diclofenac with alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding.
Myoside Plus 4mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Myoside Plus is usually used for short-term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Myoside Plus should be continued if you are advised by your doctor to do so.
Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Myoside Plus?
Keep this medicine in the packet or container it came in, tightly closed. Store it as mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.
Q. Can the use of Myoside Plus cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Myoside Plus can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop what you are doing and sit or lie down for some time or until you feel better and do not drive or use any machines.
Q. Can the use of Myoside Plus cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, long-term use of Myoside Plus can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protect the kidneys from damage. Use of pain-killers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
Q. Will Myoside Plus be more effective if taken more than recommended dose?
No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having some serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience increased severity of your symptoms that is not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Myoside Plus?
The use of Myoside Plus is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of the component or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of or active, recurrent stomach ulcer/ bleeding and in a patient with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
