Benefits of Mucoresp Tablet

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a group of lung diseases that cause breathing difficulties. COPD is caused by swelling of the airways that carry air in and out of the lungs. Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet relaxes the muscles of these airways and widens it. This makes you breathe easy and gives relief from symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing. Avoid smoking and minimise your exposure to pollution, dust and fumes. Along with that, a little exercise each day can help you stay strong. Talk to your doctor about how much exercise is good for you.

Frequently asked questions

Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet is used to treat respiratory conditions associated with cough, mucus buildup, wheezing, and difficulty breathing. It may be prescribed for conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, and other airway disorders where narrowing of the airways and excess mucus make breathing uncomfortable.
Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet contains Theophylline, Ambroxol, and Salbutamol. Salbutamol helps relax and open the airways, making breathing easier. Ambroxol helps thin and loosen mucus so it can be cleared more easily, while Theophylline helps keep the airways relaxed and improves airflow through the lungs.
Yes, Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, taking it after meals may feel more comfortable on the stomach, particularly if you are sensitive to medicines that can occasionally cause stomach discomfort.
Yes. The Ambroxol in Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet helps thin and loosen thick mucus trapped in the airways. This makes it easier to cough out mucus, which may help reduce chest congestion and improve breathing comfort.
The Salbutamol and Theophylline in Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet work by relaxing the muscles surrounding the airways. As the airways become more open, air can move in and out of the lungs more easily, helping reduce wheezing and breathlessness.
No. Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet is generally not intended to provide immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack. If you have asthma, continue to use any rescue medication prescribed by your doctor for emergency symptom relief.
Yes. By helping relax the airways and improve airflow, Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet may help reduce symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness, and breathing discomfort associated with airway narrowing.
Smoking can irritate the airways and make respiratory symptoms worse. It may also affect how certain medicines work in the body. Avoiding smoking can help improve treatment outcomes and support healthier lung function.
Theophylline belongs to a group of medicines that may have effects similar to caffeine. Consuming large amounts of tea, coffee, energy drinks, or chocolate while taking Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet may increase the likelihood of feeling restless or uncomfortable in some individuals.
Yes. Doctors may prescribe Mucoresp 100mg/30mg/2mg Tablet for bronchitis when symptoms such as cough, mucus production, wheezing, and breathing difficulty are present. It helps address both airway narrowing and mucus buildup.
Some individuals may notice easier breathing and better mucus clearance within a few days of regular use. The exact time may vary depending on the underlying respiratory condition and the severity of symptoms.
As mucus becomes thinner and easier to clear, coughing may continue for some time because the body is removing mucus from the airways. This often improves gradually as the underlying respiratory condition settles.
If your cough, wheezing, chest congestion, or breathing difficulty continues despite regular treatment, or if symptoms worsen over time, your doctor may need to reassess the underlying condition and review your treatment plan.
