Monticope Suspension

Give Monticope Suspension to your child exactly as prescribed by the doctor, in the recommended dose and duration. It can be given with or without food. Try to give it at the same time each day to help maintain a consistent effect. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again.

Your child may start to feel better after a few doses. Continue giving the medicine as prescribed to get the maximum benefit. This medicine may cause some mild and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, or headache. These usually go away as your child’s body adjusts to the medicine. However, if these side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor.

Let the doctor know if your child is already taking any medicines. Also, inform your child’s complete medical history, including any prior episodes of allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, vascular disorders, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung anomalies, skin disorders, liver impairment, and kidney malfunctions. This information is critical for dose alterations and in planning your child’s overall treatment.

• Treatment of Allergic skin conditions : Monticope Suspension helps relieve redness, swelling, irritation, and itching of the skin in conditions such as eczema, allergic dermatitis, and insect bite reactions.
• Treatment of Allergic rhinitis

The dose of Monticope Suspension depends on your age, the condition being treated, and your overall health. It is usually taken once a day, often in the evening, to help control allergy symptoms. However, your doctor will decide the right dose and duration of treatment for you. 

Take Monticope Suspension exactly as advised and continue using it regularly to help manage your symptoms. Do not take more than the recommended dose and do not use it for longer than advised. If your symptoms do not improve or get worse despite treatment, consult your doctor.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Monticope Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Overdosage

Overdose may result in abdominal pain, sleepiness, thirst, headache, vomiting, restlessness, and hyperactivity.

In case of overdose, discontinue the medicine and seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless advised by your doctor.

• Give Monticope Suspension exactly as prescribed and at the same time each day, often in the evening if advised by the doctor.
• Do not stop Monticope Suspension abruptly without consulting your child’s doctor, especially if it has been prescribed for asthma control.
• Avoid giving Monticope Suspension with other cold, flu, or antihistamine medicines unless advised by the doctor.
• Monticope Suspension may cause drowsiness, so monitor your child for sleepiness or reduced alertness.
• Watch for unusual mood changes, sleep disturbances, or behavioral changes and inform the doctor if they occur.
• If rash, swelling, or signs of an allergic reaction occur, stop Monticope Suspension and consult the doctor.
• Seek urgent medical care if your child develops sudden wheezing or breathing difficulty.
• Ensure your child avoids known allergens such as dust, smoke, or pollen whenever possible.
• Encourage your child to wear a mask in dusty environments and maintain good hydration to help thin mucus.
• Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve despite regular use of Monticope Suspension.
