How to use Montemac-FX Suspension

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Montemac-FX Suspension may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Montemac-FX Suspension works

Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action another chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

CAUTION
Montemac-FX Suspension may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Driving
Montemac-FX Suspension may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Montemac-FX Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Montemac-FX Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
Montemac-FX Suspension is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Montemac-FX Suspension may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
