How to use Migon Plus Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Migon Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Migon Plus Tablet works

Migon Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: propranolol and flunarizine. Propranolol is a beta blocker, and flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. They work together by stabilizing the reactive nerve cells and increasing the threshold for migraine activation. Flunarizine also helps in inhibiting cortical spreading depression (CSD—electric waves that move across the brain and cause pain and inflammation).

Quick tips

  • Do not take it to treat an acute attack of migraine.
  • To help prevent migraines, try to eat your meals at the same time every day and avoid bright lights and extreme temperatures. Stay away from loud music and noisy places, and limit foods like chocolate, cheese, and processed items, as well as smoking. Getting enough sleep and managing stress can also reduce the chances of a migraine.
  • Migon Plus Tablet is best taken at night before going to bed.
