Microcef CV Tablet is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infection.

How to use Microcef CV Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Microcef CV Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Microcef CV Tablet works

Microcef CV Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.

Microcef CV Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

Microcef CV Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Microcef CV Tablet may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Microcef CV Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Microcef CV Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Microcef CV Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
