Allantoin(1%)

Uses

Allantoin is used in the treatment of psoriasis (silvery scaly skin rash), keratoses (abnormal skin growth) and dermatitis (skin rash or irritation).

How it works

Allantoin is a skin protectant that works like a moisturizer to soften skin. It forms an oily layer on the skin and keeps the water inside and thus prevents skin from drying out.

Hydroquinone(2%)

Uses

Hydroquinone is used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation (dark skin patches) and melasma (dark and discolored patches on the skin).

How it works

Hydroquinone bleaches the skin by reducing the accumulation of skin pigment called melanin that causes darkening of skin. It interferes with the synthesis of melanin and hampers important processes within cells that produce melanin (melanocytes). The bleaching effect of hydroquinone is reversible (reversible depigmentation).
