Side Effects of Manodol are Nausea, Constipation, Dryness in mouth, Sedation, Weight gain, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Urinary retention, Increased prolactin level in blood, Dizziness, Blurred vision, Nervousness.

How to use Manodol Kit

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food, if it causes stomach upset.

How Manodol Kit works

Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit is a combination of two medicines: Haloperidol and Trihexyphenidyl. Haloperidol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. However, it may cause side effects such as involuntary movements (shaking of hands, muscle spasms). Trihexyphenidyl is added to treat and prevent these side effects.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking haloperidol together with alcohol may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating.
Pregnancy

Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
If Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit is used, monitor the baby for excessive sleepiness.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Manodol 1.5 mg/2 mg Kit can cause blurring of vision, dizziness, mild nausea, and mental confusion in some cases. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney

Liver
