Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of malaria
Side Effects of Malin are Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fatigue, Feeling of fullness, Dizziness, Headache, Mouth sore, Skin rash.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
This will help to avoid stomach upset.
Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pyrimethamine and Sulfamethoxazole which treat malaria. Pyrimethamine is an antiparasitic medicine which works by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic which stops the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication.

Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation.
Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby
It is not known whether Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Malin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
