Lunawave-DP Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose, a high dose, or overdose may have harmful effects on the body. Do not take it more than the prescribed duration unless your doctor advised you to do so.

It may cause side effects like constipation, sleepiness, muscle pain, and weakness in some patients. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medicines. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking.

How to use Lunawave-DP Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lunawave-DP Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Lunawave-DP Tablet works

Lunawave-DP Tablet is a combination of two medicines : Flunarizine and Domperidone. Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilation of blood vessels in the head. Flunarizine works by preventing loss of tone and dilation of blood vessels, thus preventing the migraine headache. Domperidone is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Quick tips

Lunawave-DP Tablet helps to ease the pain you feel during a migraine headache as well as helps to stop you from feeling sick.
This medicine can only decrease the number and severity of attacks but may not completely stop them.
Some tips that may help avoid a migraine attack:
1. Have your meals at the same time every day.
2. Avoid bright lights and extreme temperatures.
3. Avoid loud music and noisy places.
4. Avoid chocolates, cheese, processed food, alcohol, and smoking.
5. Get sufficient sleep and avoid stress.

UNSAFE

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Lunawave-DP Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Lunawave-DP Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks.

Breast feeding

CAUTION

Lunawave-DP Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.

Driving

UNSAFE

Lunawave-DP Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Lunawave-DP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

UNSAFE

Lunawave-DP Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
