Artemether(80 mg)


Artemether is an antimalarial drug used for the treatment of malaria. It is given in combination with another antimalarial drug called lumefantrine.

How it works

Artemether belongs to class of medications called anti-malarial. It acts by killing the malarial parasite called Plasmodium falciparum.

Lumefantrine is used in combination with artemether in the treatment of malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum.

How it works

Lumefantrine is an antimalarial drug which accumulates within the malaria parasite and inhibits the breakdown of hemoglobin. It forms a toxic complex with heme (part of hemoglobin) in the parasite, and also damages the parasite cell membrane, thereby killing it.
