Liecet-P Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not take this medicine more than the recommended dose, a high dose, or overdose may have harmful effects on the body. Prolong use of this medicine may harm your health, do not take it more than the prescribed duration unless your doctor advised you to do so.

It may cause side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, and diarrhea in some patients. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bother you. Inform your doctor immediately if any rash or allergic reaction is observed while taking this medicine. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medicines.

Note: As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Liecet-P Tablet is banned for children under 12 years of age.

It shrinks the blood vessels and provides rapid relief that lasts for several hours. Liecet-P Tablet usually starts to work within a few minutes, and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor.

How to use Liecet P Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Liecet-P Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Liecet P Tablet works

Liecet-P Tablet is a combination of three medicines :Nimesulide, Phenylephrine, and Levocetirizine. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

Quick tips

Liecet-P Tablet is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
Along with taking Liecet-P Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
1. Steam inhalation.
2. Gargling with warm saltwater.
3. Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
4. Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
5. Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.

Breast feeding

Liecet-P Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE

Liecet-P Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Liecet-P Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Liver

UNSAFE

Liecet-P Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
