How to use Lecof Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Lecof Syrup may be taken with or without food.

How Lecof Syrup works

Lecof Syrup is a combination of four medicines:

Quick tips

Lecof Syrup helps in the treatment of dry cough.
It is usually taken only for a short time until the symptoms clear up.
Measure the syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon.
Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
Stop taking Lecof Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.

Safety advice

Alcohol

UNSAFE

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Lecof Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

The safety of Lecof Syrup during pregnancy has not been established. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, and animal data on reproductive toxicity are insufficient. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Lecof Syrup may be safe to use during breastfeeding. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Lecof Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Driving

UNSAFE

Lecof Syrup may cause side effects that could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Lecof Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed.
Use of Lecof Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

UNSAFE

Lecof Syrup is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
