Introduction

Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is a combination medicine which helps in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. It also works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, inflammation and fever.

Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Depending on the severity of your underlying illness, your doctor will decide the precise dose. Inform your doctor if you are also taking other medications containing paracetamol to avoid an overdose.

It may cause side effects like indigestion, loss of appetite, headache, and diarrhea in some patients. Inform your doctor immediately if any rash or allergic reaction is observed while taking this medicine. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. It should be used with caution in patients who are alcoholic or have liver or kidney disease.

How to use Labdic Tablet

How Labdic Tablet works

Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Diclofenac, paracetamol and chlorpheniramine which relieve common cold symptoms. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) which also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Alcohol
UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet Taking Diclofenac+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen+Chlorpheniramine Maleate with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
Driving
UNSAFE
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Labdic 50 mg/500 mg/4 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
