How to use Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops works

Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling and itching.

Driving

Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops may cause dizziness (vertigo). Changes in your eyesight or muscle weakness may also happen. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of kidney function tests and other blood tests is advisable while you are taking Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops.
Liver
Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Kemocip Eye/Ear Drops may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
