How to use Incough DX Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Incough DX Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Incough DX Syrup works

Incough DX Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Phenylpropanolamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide which relieve dry cough. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Incough DX Syrup related warnings

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Incough DX Syrup. Taking phenylpropanolamine with alcohol can increase the risk of cardiovascular side effects such as increased heart rate, chest pain, or blood pressure changes.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Incough DX Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
No information is available on the use of Incough DX Syrup during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
Incough DX Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
Incough DX Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Incough DX Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
UNSAFE
Incough DX Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

I am 29 weeks into my pregnancy. Have extreme dry cough and was given augmentin 625 and then some DCT syrup. None have had any effects. Please suggest something as i cannot sleep at nights due to dry coughingAnd now i am suggested TusQ DxShould i consume it???

Please avoid cough syrups in pregnancy. Warm water and salt gargling and honey help soothe a cough. you can take dabur haunts syrup if cough is persistent.
Heavy dry cough from last 3days I use TUSQ-DX but no results please suggest me any other medicine
