Herwont Kit

Herwont Kit should be taken with food or as per your doctor's advice. You must start with a dose of Mifepristone. It should be taken orally, by swallowing the tablets whole with a glass of water. If you experience vomiting within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, inform your doctor or take another dose. The medicine may take 24- 48 hours to show its action, and you might experience spotting or bleeding. After a period of 36-48 hours, you have to take a Misoprostol tablet, either orally or vaginally. You are advised to have proper rest after this dose intake, as it may cause severe stomach pain or vaginal bleeding, thus leading to abortion. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Some side effects may mean you should inform your doctor immediately include heavy vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had an ectopic pregnancy, are breastfeeding, or are using an intrauterine device. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking, as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Avoid strenuous activity like heavy exercise, running, and driving during abortion, as it can affect the bleeding. Your doctor may perform an ultrasound or pelvic examination to check for abortion completion.

• Medical abortion : Herwont Kit is used for termination of an early intra-uterine pregnancy up to 63 days of amenorrhea. It works by first blocking the hormone needed to maintain pregnancy and then causing uterine contractions to expel the pregnancy. The process may involve bleeding and cramping, and follow-up is required to ensure completion.

• Herwont Kit is used for medical termination in early pregnancy under a doctor’s supervision and should not be used without medical guidance in any other situation.
• Do not use Herwont Kit if you have an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the uterus), as it will not work and may cause serious complications.
• Use Herwont Kit only under a doctor’s supervision with proper instructions and follow-ups when required.
• Take misoprostol 36–48 hours after taking mifepristone, as instructed by your doctor.
• Rest for a few hours after taking misoprostol, as cramping and bleeding usually begin during this period.
• Vaginal bleeding and cramping are expected and may last for about 1–2 weeks.
• Use sanitary pads initially so bleeding can be monitored properly.
• Seek urgent medical attention if you experience very heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, fainting, or extreme weakness.
• Contact your doctor immediately if fever persists, foul-smelling discharge occurs, or severe one-sided abdominal pain develops.
• Arrange follow-up with your doctor to confirm that the pregnancy termination is complete.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy, weak, or unwell after taking Herwont Kit.
• Herwont Kit does not affect long-term fertility; use contraception afterward if you wish to avoid future pregnancy.
