Evris Capsule is a prescription medicine that can be with or without food. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better.

Evris Capsule may lead to some side effects such as nausea, weakness, dryness of mouth, etc. If any of the side effects get aggravated, contact your doctor immediately. In cases of liver or kidney disease it is advised to consult your doctor before you start with the treatment.

How Evris Capsule works

Evris Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Clindamycin, Metronidazole, and Clotrimazole, which treats vaginal infections.

Quick tips

Evris Capsule is inserted into the vagina using an applicator, usually at night before going to bed.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Avoid contact with your eyes. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy.
Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine.

Consumption of alcohol with Evris Capsule may cause a disulfiram-like reaction, leading to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, low blood pressure, nausea, lightheadedness, and severe headache.

Pregnancy

The safety of Evris Capsule during pregnancy has not been established. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, and animal data on reproductive toxicity are insufficient. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Evris Capsule may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
If a single dose of Evris Capsule is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.

Driving

UNSAFE

Evris Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Evris Capsule may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION

Evris Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
