Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.

Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as precribed by the doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Common side effects of this medicine include edema, dizziness, headache, palpitations, irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure, abdominal pain, constipation, and flatulence. If any of these side effects persit or bother you, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

How Etcochin Tablet works

Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

What if you forget to take Etcochin Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, the use of Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Can the use of Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Etcochin 60mg/4mg Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
