- Do not start or continue loteprednol if you have increased pressure inside the eyes that cause visual problem (glaucoma), pain, redness, itching or inflammation in eyes, or after a recent cataract surgery.
- Avoid using for more than 10 days.
- Avoid wearing contact lenses.
- Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
To reduce the amount of Etapred LS Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
