Benefits of Etabol Tablet

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a group of lung diseases that cause breathing difficulties. COPD is caused by swelling of the airways that carry air in and out of the lungs. Etabol Tablet relaxes the muscles of these airways and widens it. It also loosens mucus and helps you to cough it out. This makes you breathe easy and gives relief from symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing. Avoid smoking and minimise your exposure to pollution, dust and fumes. Along with that, a little exercise each day can help you stay strong. Talk to your doctor about how much exercise is good for you.

 • If at any time your breathing gets worse or you notice muscle twitching or weakness, or an irregular heartbeat, please contact your doctor or nurse for advice straightaway.
 • Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, or diabetes.
 • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you have used in the past 14 days, especially water pills, anti-depressant, or medicines for heart problems.

Frequently asked questions

Etabol Tablet is a respiratory medicine used to relieve bronchospasm (the tightening of the muscles in your airways) in adults and children over 6 years old who have conditions such as asthma or COPD. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages and making it easier to breathe. It relieves coughing, wheezing, and feeling short of breath.
No. Etabol Tablet is specifically formulated for a productive cough, where there is mucus and airway constriction. This medicine helps to clear phlegm and open the airways. For a dry cough without these symptoms, a different medicine would be more appropriate.
You should start to feel the bronchodilating effects, such as easier breathing, relatively quickly after taking Etabol Tablet. The full effect of the medicine on thinning and loosening the mucus in your chest may take longer to become fully noticeable, as it works within the mucus-secreting cells.
Before starting Etabol Tablet, it is very important to inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, or diabetes. The salbutamol and etofylline in Etabol Tablet can affect these conditions, and your doctor will need to determine if it is safe for you to take them.
The safety and effectiveness of Etabol Tablet have not been established in children under the age of 2. It is indicated for use in adults and children 6 years of age and older. Always follow your doctor's advice when it comes to medicines for children.
