Esnocof XP Tablet is a combination of two medicines that effectively treat filariasis. It fights against the worms to relieve the discomfort caused due to the infestation.

Esnocof XP Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as the prescription. It should be taken with food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better.

Esnocof XP Tablet may lead to some side effects such as nausea, weakness, headaches, dryness of mouth, etc. To overcome any such side effects, it is advised to eat a healthy balanced diet and drink plenty of fluid. If any of the side effects get aggravated, contact your doctor immediately. If you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must consult your doctor immediately.

How Esnocof XP Tablet works

Esnocof XP Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diethylcarbamazine and Cetirizine which treat filariasis. Diethylcarbamazine works by decreasing the muscular activity and causing paralysis of these worms while Cetirizine decreases the raised eosinophil count (white blood cells) and controls allergic symptoms like cough and breathlessness.

Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Esnocof XP Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Esnocof XP Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Esnocof XP Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Esnocof XP Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
