How to use Enzogrand-D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Enzogrand-D Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Enzogrand-D Tablet works

Enzogrand-D Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Trypsin, Bromelain, Rutoside and Diclofenac. Trypsin and Bromelain are enzymes. They increase blood supply and make the body produce substances that fight pain and swelling. Rutoside is an antioxidant which protects the body from damage by chemicals (free radicals) and further reduces swelling. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Alcohol
CAUTION
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Enzogrand-D Tablet. Taking diclofenac with alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding.
Pregnancy

Enzogrand-D Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Enzogrand-D Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Q. Can the use of Enzogrand-D cause dizziness?

Yes, the use of Enzogrand-D can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Enzogrand-D?

The use of Enzogrand-D is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Q. Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Enzogrand-D can increase the risk of side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea and can also damage your kidneys on long-term use. If you are experiencing increased severity of pain and swelling which is not relieved by the recommended doses of this medicine, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to a doctor.
