How to use EMSYLATE Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. EMSYLATE 250 MG TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How EMSYLATE Tablet works

EMSYLATE 250 MG TABLET is a haemostatic medication. It works by increasing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots. It also helps control bleeding from tiny blood vessels (capillaries).

Expert advice for EMSYLATE Tablet

  • Do not take ethamsylate if you are allergic to ethamsylate or any other ingredients in the medicine, or you have allergy to sulfa drugs or wheat.
  • Do not take ethamsylate if you develop fever with treatment; non-cancerous growths called fibroids in your womb; porphyria (a rare blood pigment disorder that affects skin and other organs, and causes abdominal pain).
  • Avoid using ethamsylate if you are pregnant or breast feeding a baby.
  • Do not use the product before onset of bleeding during periods.

Yes mirena is a good option. It will have the added advantage of decreased blood flow during periods ( in case you have heavy flow). The side effects of mirena could be irregular bleeding or spotting or no periods at all after 6-12 months of insertion. Other option is multiload. You can go for that also.

Trapic is a good medicine to stop the bleeding. However it will not cure the problem. I suggest you get an ultrasound scan done and check for the problem.
I took an iPill within 4-5 hours of the unprotected sex. Exactly the thing is he ejaculated in the condom itself. But after that after a while we had an unprotected sex. So I feared that a bit of semen must have got inside thats why took an iPill as early as possible. This happened on the 4th day after my periods ended. And after a week of taking the iPill I started bleeding like normal periods. I'm a bit worried if I'm pregnant. Please helpI did a pregnancy test too which came out be a negative result. But is that reliable?

Hi PATIENT bleeding is a an expected side effect of taking I pill. Such pills such not be used casually and frequently as it can cause severe hormonal disturbances and change your periods. If take recurrently it may effect your future fertility as well. So be very careful while taking them and seem medical help before you take them.
