How Ecogat A Tablet works

Ecogat A 75 mg/400 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ambroxol and Gatifloxacin which treat respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Gatifloxacin.

Avoid taking indigestion remedies, or supplements containing iron, magnesium, or zinc at least 2 hours before or after taking Ecogat A 75 mg/400 mg Tablet. This is because Ecogat A 75 mg/400 mg Tablet combines with these medicines, which makes it less effective in fighting infection.
