How Ebexid B Tablet works

Ebexid B Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Nicotinamide, Thyroxine and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Thyroxine is a synthetic version of a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. It works by replacing the thyroid hormones that your thyroid gland cannot produce. This relieves the symptoms of hypothyroidism (tiredness, weight gain, and depression). Nicotinamide and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) provide essential nutrients.

Quick tips

  • You have been prescribed Ebexid B Tablet to improve the level of thyroid hormone.
  • It should be taken on an empty stomach (ideally, first thing in the morning). No food, milk, or tea should be taken 1 hour before and 2 hours after taking this medicine.
  • You may see benefit of taking this medicine only after 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Leave a gap of at least 4 hours before taking any antacids as it may interfere with the effect of Ebexid B Tablet.
