Duracal 600000IU Injection is generally well tolerated, however, it may cause few side effects such as weakness, headache, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, and constipation in some people. Using it for a long period in doses higher than recommended may cause excessively high levels of calcium in the blood.

Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have high levels of calcium in your blood or if you have heart or kidney disease. Some other medicines can decrease the absorption of vitamin D, so let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking to make sure you are safe. • In order to maintain healthy blood levels of vitamin D, try spending some time outdoors especially from 11 am to 3 pm. But be careful not to burn your skin in the sun, so cover up with suitable clothing, wear sunglasses and apply at least SPF15 sunscreen.
