How to use DM Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. DM Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How DM Syrup works
DM Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan which relieve dry cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

DM Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
DM Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of DM Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
