Side Effects of Depaxil Plus are Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Confusion, Memory impairement, Uncoordinated body movements, Drowsiness, Tiredness, Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm), Low sexual desire, Delayed ejaculation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Paroxetine and clonazepam which have mood-enhancing and anxiety-lowering effects. Paroxetine is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which increases the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Depaxil CR Plus-12.5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Depaxil plus may increase suicidal thoughts or actions in some patient, in the first few months of treatment. Patients having mood or behaviour disorder have high risk of suicidal thoughts and actions. You should pay close attention and report your doctor of any behaviour or mood changes. Make sure that you visit the doctor for the follow-up appointments as scheduled.
Q. Can I stop taking Depaxil plus when my symptoms are relieved?
No, you should continue to take Depaxil plus even if you feel well. If you stop Depaxil plus suddenly, serious withdrawal symptoms may occur. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.
Q. How to manage weight gain associated with the use of Depaxil plus?
There are reports that suggest association weight gain with the use of Depaxil plus. If you keep good eating habits and exercise regularly, you might not gain any weight. An important to remember: It is easier to stop weight gain than losing increased weight.

Yes, Depaxil plus can make you feel sleepy. At the beginning of your treatment: do not drive, operate machinery, work at heights, or participate in potentially dangerous activities till you know how this medicine affects you.

Sexual side effects are common with the use of Depaxil plus in both men and women. Different sexual problems can occur due to Depaxil plus like decreased sexual desire, erectile dysfunction (inability to develop or maintain erection during the sexual activity) and orgasm problem. It can also cause a decrease in satisfaction and comfort while having sex. If you experience these problems, discuss with your doctor.

No, do not drink alcohol while you are taking Depaxil plus. Drinking alcohol can increase the severity of drowsiness or sleepiness caused by Depaxil plus.
