CZ Tus Syrup is used in the treatment of dry cough.

Nausea, Dryness in mouth, Stomach upset, Nervousness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Restlessness, Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Sleepiness.


How to use CZ Tus Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. CZ Tus Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How CZ Tus Syrup works

CZ Tus Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Pseudoephedrine, dextromethorphan and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Special precautions for CZ Tus Syrup
CZ Tus Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
CZ Tus Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CZ Tus Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of CZ Tus Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby
CZ Tus Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
CZ Tus Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of CZ Tus Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
CZ Tus Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
