Cutisoft Lotion is meant only for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine evenly on the affected skin. You should not apply it to open wounds or damaged skin. Use it regularly to get the maximum benefit from it.

It is usually well tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness in some people. These side effects are temporary and usually go away with time. However, if they persist or worsen, let your doctor know.

Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers need to consult their doctors before using this medicine. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with plenty of water in case of accidental contact. Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor.

Cutisoft Lotion is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the medicine or any of its constituent ingredients. Patients with tuberculosis or fungal infections and/or herpes infections of the eyes, lips, or genitals should also avoid the use of Cutisoft Lotion or consult a doctor.

Cutisoft Lotion should not be used under waterproof dressings unless advised to do so by a physician. Cutisoft Lotion should not be used to treat acne. Cutisoft Lotion should not be used for external feminine itching if a vaginal discharge is present. It is not to be used for external anal itching if bleeding is present.

Cutisoft Lotion should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
If you think the area of skin you are treating has become infected, you should stop using Cutisoft Lotion and consult your doctor.

No, Cutisoft Lotion should not be used on the face. In addition to this, Cutisoft Lotion should not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin, and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In some cases, doctors may decide to use it if they believe it's necessary. It should be used only after consultation with your physician, and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.

Can we use Cutisoft Lotion in infections?

Cutisoft Lotion is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections. As a corticosteroid, it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Cutisoft Lotion. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Cutisoft Lotion and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.

How to use Cutisoft Lotion?

Before using the Cutisoft Lotion, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage the medication into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Cutisoft Lotion accidentally gets in your eyes, wash them with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.

Can I stop taking Cutisoft Lotion when my symptoms are relieved?

No, do not stop taking Cutisoft Lotion and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Cutisoft Lotion before your treatment is completed can bring back your skin symptoms.

What are the precautions that are needed to be taken while using Cutisoft Lotion?

Cutisoft Lotion should not be used on the face. Do not use the medication for longer periods than you have been advised. Do not apply a bandage or dressing to the area being treated, as this will increase absorption of the preparation and increase the risk of side effects. This medicine should only be used when advised by the doctor and never given to other people, even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.
