Overview

Introduction

Clopan G Cream is used to treat various types of skin infections. It minimizes symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, and itching. It also prevents the growth of infection-causing microorganisms to promote faster healing of infections.

Clopan G Cream is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. Wash your hands before and after application of the medicine. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina rinse with water. It may take several days to weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed to ensure better efficacy of the medicine. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should talk to your doctor.

This medicine is usually safe, however, it may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. You must consult the doctor if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.).

Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use this medicine with proper consultation and caution. How Clopan G Cream works

Clopan G Cream is a combination of two medicines: Clobetasol and Neomycin, which treats bacterial skin infections Clobetasol is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Neomycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Quick Tips

  • Clopan G Cream should be applied to the affected area as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
  • Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your skin problem hasn't improved after seven days of treatment.
  • Do not apply it to broken skin and avoid getting it in your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.

I went through surgery on 24 aug 2015 regarding PERINAL ABSCESS. It took approx 7 months after surgery to recover but still bond between skin was not formed. Due to the skin getting seperated even after joining the suggested me to the clean the skin cells so that fine bond can be obtained between the skin. During surgery for the 2nd time found FISTULA that surgery that took place on 9 june 2016. Dressing is going on continously . The said that fistula is known for its recurrences. So can any preventive measures can be taken in order to avoid its recurrence. Thanking you in advance.

Q. What would happen if I use a higher than the recommended dose of Clopan G for long periods?

Clopan G should be used only for the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Using it in higher doses and for longer periods can cause a change in the skin’s color, or thinning or weakening of the skin. Veins under the skin become visible. There could be an increased hair growth. The medicine may get absorbed into the blood circulation and can cause weight gain, high blood pressure and rounding of the face. If you experience an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Q. What are the contraindications associated with the use of Clopan G?

Use of Clopan G is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine. Its use should be avoided in case of any fungal infections (ringworm or athlete's foot) or any viral infections (herpes or chickenpox). It should also be avoided in treating conditions like acne or rosacea. Consult your doctor before using it for any condition.
