Product introduction

Apply a small amount of Clodic B Cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Using the medicine exactly as prescribed helps control symptoms while reducing the risk of side effects. Keep the affected area clean and dry, and avoid unnecessary covering or bandaging of the skin to help improve treatment outcomes.

The most common side effect of Clodic B Cream is itching. Some people may also experience mild side effects such as a burning sensation, dryness, redness, or irritation at the application site. These effects are usually temporary and improve as treatment continues or once the medicine is stopped. If irritation becomes uncomfortable or worsens, reduce the frequency or stop the medicine and consult your doctor.

Clodic B Cream should be used only for a short period, as prolonged or excessive use may lead to thinning of the skin or increased absorption of the steroid. It should not be used on untreated viral or fungal skin infections, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, or skin conditions related to tuberculosis. Care should be taken when applying near the eyes, as accidental contact may increase the risk of eye problems such as glaucoma.

Benefits of Clodic B Cream

Treatment of Inflammatory skin conditions
Clodic B Cream is beneficial for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions where bacterial infection is present or likely to occur. It helps reduce redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with skin inflammation, while simultaneously controlling susceptible bacterial infection at the affected site. This helps support faster symptom relief, promotes healing, and helps prevent worsening of infected inflammatory dermatoses.

How to use Clodic B Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How Clodic B Cream works

Clodic B Cream is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Fusidic Acid. Betamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Fusidic Acid is an antibiotic and helps stop bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Quick tips

  • Clodic B Cream helps treat inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis that are also infected by bacteria.
  • It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
  • Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
  • Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
  • Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after two weeks of treatment.
  • Do not use it for longer than prescribed, as prolonged or repeated use can cause the skin to become over-sensitive to the medicine and may also result in the bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotic.
