cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops

Use cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops exactly as advised by your doctor, in the dose and duration. Keep using it for the full course, even if you start feeling better, because stopping early can allow the infection to come back. Always wash your hands before and after using the drops. Avoid using contact lenses during treatment for an eye infection unless your doctor says it’s okay. Store the bottle properly, and don’t share it with others. Common side effects of cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops include dysgeusia, corneal deposits, ocular discomfort, and ocular hyperemia. These are usually mild and resolve on their own. A strange or bitter taste in your mouth after using the medicine is generally harmless. However, if any of these side effects become bothersome or do not go away, consult your doctor. Do not use cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or any other quinolone antibiotics. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of ear surgery or serious medical conditions, let your doctor know before starting treatment. Avoid driving or using machinery if the drops temporarily blur your vision. Never use it for longer than prescribed, and don’t use it for conditions it wasn’t meant to treat.

• Treatment of Bacterial eye/ear infections

The dose of cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops depends on whether it is used for the eye or the ear, the type and severity of the infection, and your response to treatment. The usual dose is 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day. For ear infections, the usual dose is one to three drops every 2–3 hours. However, your doctor will decide the right dose, frequency, and duration of treatment for you.

Use cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops exactly as advised and complete the full course even if your symptoms improve early. Do not use it more often or for longer than recommended. Avoid touching the container tip to the affected area, as this may contaminate the medicine. If your symptoms do not improve or get worse, consult your doctor.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

Overdose

No toxic effects are to be expected with an ocular overdose of this medicine. Overdose may be flushed from the eye(s) with lukewarm tap water.

• Wash your hands before and after applying cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops to prevent contamination or spread of infection.
• Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, eyelid, ear, or any surface to avoid contamination of the medicine.
• If you are using other eye or ear drops, wait at least 5–10 minutes between applications.
• Your vision may be temporarily blurred after applying cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops, so avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears.
• Gently press the inner corner of your eye for about 1 minute after applying cipLOX Eye/Ear Drops to help the medicine remain in your eye.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses until the infection has completely cleared, and your doctor advises it is safe to do so.
• Use separate towels, pillowcases, or personal items to help prevent the spread of eye infections to others.
• Discard any remaining medicine at the end of the treatment course or according to the storage instructions provided.
