How to use Cetsafe Plus Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetsafe Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Cetsafe Plus Tablet works

Cetsafe Plus Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Levocetirizine, Phenylpropanolamine and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen which relieve common cold symptoms. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever.

CAUTION
Taking Levocetirizine+Phenylpropanolamine+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy

Cetsafe Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
No information is available on the use of Cetsafe Plus Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
Cetsafe Plus Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Cetsafe Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetsafe Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Cetsafe Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Cetsafe Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cetsafe Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Cetsafe Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
