Castophene Tablet

Castophene Tablet should be taken in the dose as advised by your doctor. You should not use this medicine for more than a few days unless your doctor tells you to. Some lifestyle changes can help with constipation, for example, eating more fiber in foods such as fruit, vegetables, and cereals; drinking plenty of fluids; and taking regular exercise.

Common side effects of Castophene Tablet include abdominal discomfort, like cramps and bloating. Inform the doctor if these symptoms get worse or last longer, and get medical advice if you experience any additional symptoms.

Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have a blockage in your bowel or an upset stomach. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine to make sure it is safe for them and the developing baby.

• Together with Castophene Tablet, take a fiber-rich diet containing whole grain bread and cereals, bran, fruits, and green leafy vegetables to maintain healthy bowel function.
• Avoid taking a Castophene Tablet for more than 1 week, unless prescribed by the doctor, as it leads to dependency on the laxative action to produce a bowel movement.
• Take Castophene Tablet after 2 hours of taking other medicines, as it may interfere with the absorption of other medicines.
