Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet is a medicine used for treating high blood pressure. By lowering the blood pressure, it helps in preventing future heart attack and stroke. Early treatment with this medicine also improves chances of survival in patients of heart attack. This medicine should be taken regularly with food at a fixed time each day. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly and should be taken strictly as advised by your doctor. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine work better. Some patients may develop cough or throat irritation as a side effect while using this medicine. It may also produce dizziness initially, but this improves with time.

How Cardace Meto Tablet works

Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. Metoprolol is a beta blocker which works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly.

Driving

Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.

Liver

CAUTION

Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.

Cardace Meto 25mg/2.5mg Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
