Aptus Oral Suspension

Aptus Oral Suspension is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back, and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking, as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

There is limited data on the side effects of Aptus Oral Suspension. Let your doctor know if you experience any symptoms that bother you or worsen while taking the medicine. They may be able to suggest ways to treat or manage the side effects.

Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking this medicine, you should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Note: As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Aptus Oral Suspension should not be used in children below four years of age.

• Common cold

• Aptus Oral Suspension is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold.
• Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
• Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
• Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
• Along with taking Aptus Oral Suspension do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
  1. Steam inhalation.
  2. Gargling with warm saltwater.
  3. Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
  4. Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
  5. Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcase, etc.
