Overview

Introduction

Anthel UP Tablet is a combination of two medicines that effectively treats parasites and worm infestations in the body. It fights against the worms to kill them.

Anthel UP Tablet is a prescription medicine. It can be taken with or without food for better efficacy. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. A missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. The treatment should not be interrupted without consulting your doctor, this may affect the potency of the medicine.

Some of the side effects of Anthel UP Tablet are nausea, sleepiness, loss of appetite, etc. You may also feel dizzy, thus it is advised not to drive or operate machinery. To overcome dizziness you should drink plenty of fluid. If any of the side effects get aggravated, contact your doctor immediately. In cases of severe liver or kidney disease, consult your doctor before you start with the treatment. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided during the treatment.

How to use Anthel UP Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Anthel UP Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Anthel UP Tablet works

Anthel UP Tablet is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to muscle and nerve cells of worms causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), so that they lose energy and die. This treats your infection effectively.

Anthel UP Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Anthel UP Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Anthel UP Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Anthel UP Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Anthel UP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Anthel UP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
