Medicine Overview of Amace-BP Tablet
Nausea, Altered taste, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Cough, Weakness, Dizziness, Headache, Edema (swelling), Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Decreased blood pressure, Numbness of extremity, Increased potassium level in blood.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amace-BP Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Amace-BP Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and benazepril which lower blood pressure effectively. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.

Taking Benazepril with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Amace-BP Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Amace-BP Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As it is advisable to exercise caution when driving with Amace-BP Tablet.
Amace-BP Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amace-BP Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for better dose adjustment.

Amace-BP Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.
